President Trump recounted a heartfelt moment during a Fox News appearance, detailing how his 19-year-old son, Barron Trump, was deeply affected by the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
During an interview on Fox & Friends, Trump described how Barron had expressed excitement about meeting Kirk for the first time. The two shared lunch, after which Barron reportedly told his father, “That guy is great!” Trump noted that Barron was “very hurt” upon learning of Kirk’s assassination, a tragedy that left many in shock.
The president recalled that Barron had previously requested an introduction to Kirk, whom he admired. “I thought he was gonna say, ‘I want to meet like King Charles’ or something,” Trump joked, before arranging the meeting. Kirk, 31, co-founded Turning Point USA and was killed while speaking at Utah Valley University.
Barron, who recently transitioned from NYU’s New York campus to its Washington, D.C. location, has been absent from Manhattan since the fall semester began. Reports suggest he is now residing in the White House while pursuing his studies. Some speculate this move may be linked to heightened security concerns following Kirk’s death.
