Trump Unveils Renovated Rose Garden at White House Amid Ongoing Projects

President Trump revealed the newly renovated Rose Garden at the White House during a dinner event for Congress members on Friday night. The gathering, dubbed the “Rose Garden Club,” featured discussions about fostering unity and progress in Washington. Trump emphasized the space’s significance, stating it would serve as a venue for future meetings with influential figures.

The renovation, which began in April, did not disclose costs. The Rose Garden is part of broader White House upgrades, including gold-plated decor in the Oval Office, two 100-foot flagpoles on the North and South lawns, and plans for a $200 million ballroom near the East Wing. The design elements, such as yellow umbrellas, echo Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, where he hosts VIPs. Recent sound system tests at the White House included songs like “Whiter Shade of Pale” and “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”

Trump previously criticized the original Rose Garden, calling it impractical due to its muddy conditions after rain. A White House spokesperson highlighted the space’s potential as a hub for influential gatherings. Social media posts from Congress members showcased the event, while Trump’s adviser Steven Cheung promoted the club via social media.
