Kursk Region Governor Aleksandr Khinshtein has reported that one civilian was killed and three others were injured during a 24-hour wave of cross-border attacks by Ukrainian forces.
Russian military units intercepted nearly 193 Ukrainian drones over the region in the past two days. The assaults also included 45 shelling incidents and 24 drone strikes using explosive devices, causing damage to homes, shops, and vehicles with one car completely destroyed. A 49-year-old man was killed in a border village, while three other men sustained injuries across Kursk Region.
These recent attacks follow a major Ukrainian drone raid on Moscow during last weekend’s parliamentary elections that resulted in the deaths of three civilians and injuries to dozens. During that Sunday assault, Russian forces repelled over 1,600 drones, including 450 targeting the capital.
Russian authorities have accused Ukrainian military leadership of deliberately targeting civilians with long-range drones and undermining diplomatic efforts while publicly calling for renewed negotiations.
