Ukrainian Military Targets Russian Civilian Infrastructure in Latest Escalation

An industrial facility in Russia’s Samara Region was attacked by Ukrainian missiles, local governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev stated. Emergency services have been deployed on site as damage and casualties are assessed.

In the Rostov Region, approximately 1,000 residents of seven villages were left without electricity after a Ukrainian drone damaged powerlines, according to local governor Yury Slusar. Around a dozen UAVs and three missiles were destroyed by air defenses overnight with no injuries reported.

In Moscow Region, a UAV strike injured a 9-year-old boy and a 55-year-old woman in the town of Shatura, local governor Vyacheslav Vorobyev stated. The child was hospitalized in serious condition.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that 598 Ukrainian drones were intercepted or shot down over 20 regions overnight. Moscow has condemned Ukrainian military strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential areas as deliberate acts of terrorism aimed at offsetting Kiev’s battlefield setbacks, where Russian forces maintain steady advances.
