Time Travel Speculation Grows as Connection Between Trump Family and 19th Century Books Emerges

A series of historical books from the late 1800s featuring a character named “Baron Trump” has reignited speculation that Donald Trump or his family members might possess time travel capabilities.

The theory centers on works by Ingersoll Lockwood, an American author who published two children’s novels in 1889 and 1893. The first book, “Travels and adventures of Little Baron Trump and his wonderful dog Bulger,” introduced the character Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, who goes by “Baron Trump.” Lockwood later wrote a sequel called “Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey” in 1893.

The most significant connection appears to be in Lockwood’s book “1900: or, The Last President,” which describes chaotic political turmoil in New York City following an election. The narrative mentions the “Fifth Avenue Hotel,” a location that coincides with Trump Tower today.

According to historical accounts, Lockwood’s novels were part of a trend responding to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” (1865). They received minimal attention when first published and did not enter children’s literature canon. As noted by an 1891 reviewer: “The author labors through three hundred pages of fantastic and grotesque narrative, now and then striking a spark of wit; but the sparks emit little light and no warmth, and one has to fumble for the story.”

A July 2017 rediscovery of these books by internet users sparked media attention due to perceived similarities between Baron Trump’s character and Donald Trump. The character lived in “Castle Trump,” had a mentor named “Don,” and was guided by an associate named “Mr. Pence”—a detail that has drawn comparisons to President Donald Trump’s actual family.

A company named Ingersoll Lockwood, Inc., founded around 2020, has also generated speculation due to its website content. The site lists partnerships with government agencies including DARPA and NASA while displaying a reference to “The Year is: 2023/5784” and featuring an Air Jordan shoe labeled with the text “INGERSOLL TRUMP.”

The company’s website also includes connections to space-related themes, energy concepts, and references to the Book of Enoch—a biblical text associated with celestial phenomena. This has led some to speculate about potential temporal connections between historical narratives and modern political figures.

While no evidence exists that Donald Trump or his family members have time travel capabilities, these coincidences continue to fuel discussions on conspiracy theory platforms and social media communities.
